On 11 February 2019, Ambassador Nada Kruger presented her credentials to the UN office in Vienna (UNOV) as Namibia`s Resident Permanent Representative.
Ambassador Nada Kruger is also Namibia`s Resident Permanent Representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and Provisional Technical Secretariat of the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO)
The work of all these organizations are complementary in nature and evolve around peace, security and sustainable development. These are principles at the core of the multilateral policy of Namibia. The Permanent Mission of Namibia therefore, seeks to advance the interests of the Government and People of Namibia through negotiations as well as constant monitoring of relevant activities in the respective UN organisations based in Vienna

Namibia is among the world`s largest uranium producing countries. As such, nuclear science and technology are important to sustainable development in Namibia. The Permanent Mission seeks to maintain and maximize Namibia`s benefits from the IAEA.

The CTBTO maintains two infrasound stations in Namibia, and our nationals obtain valuable expertise from this Organisation.The Permanent Mission also takes an active part in working for the entry into force of the treaty.
